rooting through people's music folders back in the day of napster and DC++ was a great way to get good music. can't really do that now in the days of torrents though
I really like hypm too. Have you heard of sadsteve? (http://sadsteve.com/) It's cool because they have featured artists on the home page, a "percolator," and playlists you can listen to...WITH the added benefit of being able to search for and dl songs (although you have to do it song-by-song).
I'm not familiar with sadsteve. I'll be sure to check it out. The "percolator" looks like a pretty nice way to listen to some music that they have picked out.

Any others that are particularly good and more along the lines of The Hype Machine and less of a radio station format like Pandora/Last.fm?
